OnStar and Buick
By Maria Rohrer
Marketing Director, Buick
GM is always making getting to your destination safer and easier. Now, Buick is the first GM division to make OnStar Turn-by-Turn Navigation standard on all 2007 models.
Turn-by-Turn Navigation uses voice directions to take drivers where they want to go no maps, no printouts, no need to stop for directions. It’s easy to use, and also makes the ride safer, because it allows drivers to stay focused on driving, with their eyes on the road instead of on a map.
Buick has launched a new commercial called “Maze” for the Lucerne CXL that features Turn-by-Turn Navigation.
To learn more, take a look at this virtual video demonstration of the OnStar technology, hosted by Samantha Brown of the Travel Channel.

Go Buick! Turn by turn is great. Can you answer a question?
1. Will Buick produce the Velite or some sort of coupe/convertible for us younger people? This awesome concept attracted many of us BMW/Saab driving folks to Buick, but we've heard nothing.

California looks absolutely breathtaking. The big improvement from the current navigation system is you don't have to hand key in your destination but it is basically a hands free, sight free operation now. Even better, Buick's image is now being built and marketed around this new technology, a smart step to a stronger brand identity.
Which GM division will be the first to go all E85 capable? Imagine what that would do for Hummer's image.
Had to put this in here.
The Chevrolet WTCC (TLC) concept looks so hot, fast and furious it is going to be the first car in history to get a speeding ticket while parked at the 5 & 10. GM we got to sit down and discuss just how fast you can get this car to the States.
You know that whole thing about import tuner market. Well forget it you just blew up the whole paradigm. This car is going to reverse the course and this will be contraband in Japan. It will start a whole counter culture in Japan called, you know, import tuner market a la the Chevy WTCC.
If this is the kind of car Lutz and company were talking about doing from now on then you will confirm my belief that GM IS in fact the most underestimated company today thou some investors do seem now to have an inkling.
The way I see it is this. If Toyota talks about selling 9.6 million vehicles worldwide in 2007 and sets high goals, GM should counter with their goal, a worldwide product renaissance to marvel, wow, drool and woo new customers.
One company is on a capacity offensive the other is on a design offensive. There has yet to be a single automaker that found success by praticing the former but every company that flourished and turned around did so by executing the latter.
But I don't have to be an optomist or a visionary to make this conclusion, I just need eyes to see, the WTCC, a clue about what looks good and finally some old fashioned common sence thou, there has been little of that lately.
