Take a Look at the Chevy Sequel
Dr. Lars Peter Thiesen, GM Europe Manager Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Deployment Strategy, sits down at the Geneva Auto Show to discuss the Chevy Sequel concept, the latest offering in GM’s fuel-cell efforts. Dr. Thiesen talks about how fuel cells will help global energy and CO2 problems, when consumers can expect to purchase a vehicle like the Sequel, what GM is doing in the interim before the car comes to the market, and tips for environmentally conscious driving. Didn’t notice any mention in the video of using advanced batteries with plugin charging (series hybrid) as an option. Yet again GM disappoints. There is this constant drum beat of hydrogen, natural gas, alternative fuels etc. this path keeps us tied to petroleum companies. Why waste energy creating Hydrogen because of conversion losses, why not just use the energy to charge batteries as described in the Volt series hybrid technology. GM appears to want to maintain a Gas Monopoly.
