    Mikes Big 429

A little info on my car
We bought our 64 5 years ago for $500.00 with 74,000 miles on her. She has “THE BIG 429″ cu. in. engine with a 4 barrel carb, 340 hp. 0 to 60 in just under 10 seconds, and a posi rear end. Only 82,951 miles on her,as of 2/2001!
Except for the driver side front seat the Dk blue interior is excellent!

The story behind this car. It was bought new by a retired police officer. When he passed away the car ended up sitting under a pine tree in the back yard for 2 years.

My friend spotted her sitting there with 4 flat tires sinking in the ground, with only 35,000 miles on it. He made the owner an offer of $200.00 if the car would run,so with out pumping the gas he cranked her over in front of the owner but, wouldn`t you know it she fired right up.

He had replaced the following parts in the 2 years he owned it. Brakes and lines , radiator, heater core, water pump, oil pump, carb, starter, tie rod ends, rear springs and the big one getting the transmission rebuilt. The grand total of $3000.00 he had invested. After he got tired of waiting for parts for it and deciding he couldn`t drive it as a daily driver he sold it to me for $500.00, as long as I took good care of her.
