Saturn Donor Day

As great as the new vehicles from Saturn are, we like to think that the essence of our brand runs a little deeper. Saturn is a brand that works hard to connect with customers in a very personal way. We are a brand that strives to do that right things.
That’s why Saturn, our retail partners and the UAW will join together this month for the annual Saturn National Donor Day to raise awareness about the critical need for blood, marrow, organ and tissue donation.
Blood drives and other related events will be held at more than 50 Saturn retail locations around the country on or near Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14.
In the campaign’s 11-year history, Saturn retailers have hosted more than 1,900 community donor drives and have collected more than 226,000 units of blood. Also, nearly 12,000 potential marrow donors have been added to the National Marrow Donor Program Registry, directly resulting in 24 potentially life-saving marrow matches.
A list of Saturn National Donor Day events can be found at Saturn’s web site. To learn how to become an organ donor, visit the Donate Life America web site.
By working together, we can help make a big difference. Each unit of blood we collect is used to help as many as three people. With every marrow or organ donation registry, we may save the life of a friend, neighbor or family member.
If you can’t be a donor, or want to do even more, Saturn is offering a limited edition “It’s About Life” women’s designer T-shirt. The shirts are available here. For each shirt purchased, $2 will be donated the Foundation for America’s Blood Centers.
Thank you for doing your part to make a difference in others’ lives.
Sincerely,
Tony Parrottino
