Opel/Vauxhall Insignia Arrives in Style

The new Opel/Vauxhall Insignia made a quite a debut today in London.

The car, which goes on sale immediately in Germany, emerged from a giant orb suspended above Potter’s Field in London and appeared to fall to Earth only to be caught at the last minute for a gentle touchdown.

“We are very proud of the Insignia and decided that an extraordinary car needed an extraordinary entrance. That’s why we choose to drop in at one of London’s most frequented and iconic locations: Tower Bridge just next to the London Assembly,” said Alain Visser, Chief Marketing Officer for GM Europe, who drove the Insignia onto the stage following the dramatic reveal.

The Insignia makes its “official” debut Tuesday during the International Press Day of the British International Auto Show. - Will Stewart, blog editor
