For my first Chevy Fuel Solutions podcast, Adam Denison and I will share simple, cost-effective green tips that we found to be particularly noteworthy. In our last three episodes we talked about some things GM and Chevy are doing to help reduce our dependence on petroleum, but in today’s episode we focus on something every driver can do. In today’s episode I speak with Peter Lord, Executive Director of Service Operations, about some steps we can all take to improve fuel efficiency in our vehicles through our own driving habits. I actually learned quite a bit from him in our brief conversation, and hope you will too.

Happy Earth Day, everyone!

Welcome to the first installment of the Chevy Fuel Solutions Podcast. We figured Earth Day was the perfect time for us to launch a podcast dedicated to showing our listeners what Chevy is doing to make our vehicles go from gas-friendly to gas-free.

As some of you may know, Chevy is leading the charge in GM’s environmental initiatives. We hope this podcast will highlight some of the efforts the company is making to diversify our fuel needs, and just be more environmentally friendly. Some of the topics we will cover are:

• Hydrogen fuel cell vehicle
• E85 and cellulosic ethanol explained
• GM and Chevy’s hybrid lineup and plans for the future
• Improving the internal combustion engine
• Electric vehicles
• Common green myths
• Recycling tips
• Going green on a shoestring

While none of us would ever think of having to endure some sort of crisis like a natural disaster, there still is a great need for us to be prepared. In this episode (our final episode of the OnStar series) we speak with Jack Colley, the Chief of The Governor’s Division Of Emergency Management at the Texas Department of Public Safety. Wow, what a title!
